Doctors in Secondary Schools Clinical Training Program

The Department of General Practice and Primary Care delivers the DiSS Clinical Training and Support program. The program aims to provide essential training in youth-friendly primary care and implementation support for delivering school-based health services.

Clinicians will be registered with the DiSS training team once they have completed their orientation processes through their clinic, school and regional Primary health Network. The program includes introductory training for all new DiSS clinicians, covering the core competencies in Youth Friendly health care provision. Ongoing training and networking opportunities are encouraged to support clinicians to develop and enhance primary care approaches to common yet complex presentations to DiSS clinics and to maintain peer connections and support.

Clinicians with an interest in Adolescent Health care can browse our accessible resources and register to be invited to upcoming events and/or engage in research.
