Neuro developmental Disorders in teens-Project ECHO Adolescent MH Series: Session 3
In this panel presentation, child and adolescent psychiatrist A/Prof Sandra Radovini opens up the topic of exploring relevant co-morbidities that might occur when a teen presents with a mental health problem. She discusses the increasing recognition of these disorders, common presentations that might be suggestive and highlights the value of considering neurodevelopmental disorders early in the assessment phase. Common conditions are outlined and first steps in assessment in the school based health clinic settings are discussed.
